The UK has almost made it through lockdown 2.0 and although it was only 4 weeks, most would agree this time was tougher. As we approach the last weekend of lockdown, it’s time to start thinking about how you want to spend it. Whether you have a birthday to celebrate or you just want to celebrate the end of the restrictions and the official start of Christmas 2020, it’s time to get planning.

Celebrating a special occasion

Is there a special birthday or anniversary that you would normally spend at your favourite restaurant or bar? Bring the party indoors by organising a themed night, for example Mexican night with margaritas and Mexican nibbles. Tequila not your thing? Try a sophisticated cheese and wine night with luxurious cheeses and perfect wine pairings. If you want to skip on the ‘eat’ and focus on the ‘be merry’, a DIY cocktail night is a fun way to celebrate a special occasion.

Thanksgiving 2020

Whether you have ties with the USA or not, 2020 is the year of the excuse to celebrate anything! And we can all be thankful for the recent changes in America! Go traditional and order all of the trimmings for a delicious family dinner or less traditional with a stunning 3 course heat-up-at-home restaurant style meal.

Countdown to Christmas

The last weekend of lockdown also marks the 4 week countdown to Christmas! Use this last weekend when we have to be at home to kick the holiday season off with a bang! Whack on the Christmas songs, trim the tree and treat your loved ones to a festive hamper full of delicious festive treats to snack on throughout the weekend. Alternatively, give yourself a weekend of clean living and self-love with plenty of rest, healthy food and long walks, ahead of the busy month of December.
